How we keep the community safe
- Every member is personally interviewed by our founder before joining — and those who add a government ID get a Verified-with-ID badge.
- A clear code of conduct — kindness, confidentiality, and strictly platonic. Read The Code.
- Report & block tools on every member, so you're always in control of who you see.
- Never send money to another member, and always meet in a public place first.
Important — please read this calmly. Good Company personally interviews every member
through an application and a real conversation; a government-ID check is optional (ID-verified members carry a
badge). This confirms identity, not character. We do not run criminal
background checks, and being a member is not an endorsement or a vouch for anyone's character.
Always use your own judgement, meet in a public place first, and never send money to another member.
If you are in crisis
Good Company is friendly, platonic companionship and conversation — not therapy, counseling, medical care, or a crisis service, and your friend is not a licensed professional. We can't respond in real time to urgent safety situations. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out now to people trained to help:
